Christmas Fayre- 3.15pm Friday 1st December

Our Christmas Fayre will take place after school on Friday 1st December and is open for anyone to attend.
 
 

 
Family Movie Night - Friday 19th May

We are arranging a Family Movie Night to take place at 6.00pm on Friday 19th May. Children will be voting for their preferred choice from a range of films and the winning movie will be shown. 
Tickets are priced at £1 and include a drink (tea/coffee for adults) and popcorn.If you wish to attend, please book at the school office by Monday 15th May.
Ladies Pamper Evening - Provisionally Friday 24th March CANCELLED, PLEASE KEEP CHECKING FOR NEW DATE

We are seeking any parents or carers who have skills in nail or beauty therapy and who would be willing to offer their services either free or at a reduced cost at this event. If you are willing to take part, please contact the school office either in person or by ringing 01274 639374 by 1st March.

 

Second Hand Uniform Sale - CANCELLED - PLEASE KEEP CHECKING FOR NEW DATE

SOS are holding a second hand uniform sale from 2.30pm on Thursday 9th February in the playground (weather permitting).
Coffee and Mince Pies - Thursday 8th December

SOS are hosting a coffee and mince pie afternoon on Thursday 8th December. Please come along to find out about our work; you will also have the opportunity to buy good quality second hand uniforms and books ranging from 50p - £1.
 
Christmas Fayre Result

Well done everyone who attended our Christmas Fayre. We raised £761.70 for school funds; this will be used to give our children additional benefits that cannot be funded from school budgets.
British Burrito and Bingo Evening

Around 40 people came to our social evening on Friday 18th November and were treated to bingo and an unusual raffle!

The event raised £36.96 which was shared between Children in Need and the British Legion Poppy Appeal.
       
Second Hand Uniform and Book Sale
We held our second hand uniform and book sale on Thursday 19th May with the takings being donated to the School Fund; this is used to provide extras for the children.
 

Family Social Evening - 22nd April 2016
Attendees of the second SOS family social evening had a great time on 22nd April; the quiz winners were Hollow's Heroes. The winners of wooden spoon, for the second time running, will not be named to spare their blushes. Thank you for all those who attended and to SOS for organising the quiz and refreshments.

Second Hand Uniform Sale - 11th February
A uniform sale was held on the last Thursday of half term. Parents picked up some good bargains including logo sweatshirts for 50 pence and raised 9 pounds for school funds.
We intend to have further sales on the last Thursday of each half term; if you have any good quality items that your child no longer wears, please hand them in to the school office.

Second Hand Uniform Sale - 11th February

The newly formed parent teacher association, SOS (Supporters of St Luke's), are celebrating the success of their first event, a Family Social Evening held on Friday 9th October. The evening was attended by 13 families with around 50 people with taking part; they had a great night with lots of fun and laughter. Comments were received such as ' A good night' and 'We would like another one at Christmas'.
The light-hearted family quiz was won by the 'Roaring Readers' team which included Sachin, Daniel and his sister and mum, Lennon and his mum, Mrs Kumar, Miss Horsbrough, Miss Ackroyd and Miss Jakes.
The wooden spoon award was shared by 'Superstars' and 'Roaring Rockets'; their names have been withheld to protect them but well done for competing!
The Chair of SOS, Karen Kaur, said, 'We are so pleased that our first event has been such a success and enjoyed by everyone that attended. We feel it is important that we have activities such as this to help us get to know each other as a school community. We will definitely be arranging more!'
Headteacher, Miss Horsbrough said, ‘A big thank you to Karen, Helen Kingdon and Susan Senior for organising and hosting the quiz and arranging the fish & chip suppers, and to Drakes for supplying a sizeable order of 45 portions. Thanks should also go to all those who remained to tidy and wash up at the end of the night’.
