Geometry Day
We had a geometry day when our activities focused on shape, position and direction, angles, co-ordinates and symmetry. We made both 2D and 3D models and then we went outside to direct each other through a maze using mathematical language.

Archery
We had a taster lesson in archery during PE. Some of us had a very good aim.

Danelaw Village - January 2017
We enjoyed a very cold day at Danelaw Roman Fort. We made oil lamps out of clay, wrote in Roman numerals and letters and spent the afternoon training to be a soldier. We even got attacked by a Celt who wanted his land back!

Nell Bank Residential Visit Part 2 - February 2017
Our residential started with a muddy walk through the woods where we made dinosaurs from sticks and a house for invisible Fred. We spent our first night wearing our brave pants on our moonlight walk where we conquered our fears going through a very dark tunnel.
We had a very tiring second day walking up to Ilkley Moor. We walked over 6 miles and did over 26,000 steps. The teaching staff were very proud of all of us for making it to the top, it was lots of hard work!
On the final day we had a very busy morning making dens and finding habitats for lots of different animals and insects. We then headed back to school exhausted after a fun filled 3 days!

Resindential Trip to Nell Bank - February 2017

We had a wonderful time at our residential stay at Nell Bank this week. Yesterday we walked all the way to the Cow and Calf rocks on the moors. It was about 26500 steps - all uphill!

We had a great time celebrating St Luke’s Day last month. We carried out some online research about his life and then created mosaic stained glass windows by piecing back together chopped up images of St Luke. We found this very tricky although we learned a valuable lesson that you have to work hard to achieve success.

St Luke's Day - October 2016

We went on a trip to find out about Bradford Cathedral on 4th October. First of all we sat outside and made sketches of the building. We then looked around inside and learned about the history of the Cathedral as well as a timeline of old and new Bradford. We found out about the stained glass windows in the Cathedral and discovered that the shields displayed around the church represented the different villages and towns in Bradford. We were given some time to create our own shields. We had a wonderful day out.
